A quick diagram I made in paint to show how to wire up the Dual Illuminite speakers to pulse to the music. Made for electropentatonic, but can be helpful to anybody! If you have any questions about wiring the Dual Illuminites, just ask.

i hooked up my dual illuminite speakers up and i hooked up the lights to the speakers as in another video i watched and i cooked my lights what did i do wrong or what all do i need because i wasnt them to flash its awesome
it says in the …
it says in the instruction manual to NOT hook the leds to the speaker leads cause the signal can blow them, and if u looked in yours you would of seen that
yes that works but it aint what they intended for it to be, it says 12volt input not speaker input, they made em to light up when u wanted em to or w/e not flash to the music, but to each his own i guess
just standard …
just standard speaker wire is fine. thats what i have look at my vid and comment plz.
Thats one nice …
Thats one nice truck!!
what gauge wire is …
what gauge wire is good? will 24 gauge work or should i buy thicker?
can you make a …
can you make a diagram of how to make the LED to stay on with a switch
its all about the …
its all about the power that is running into them. so a good way for them to light up at lower volume is to crank power into them. this can be done by turning up the bass, mids, and treble. just play around with those 3 settings until you are satisfied. also if your stereo has a “loud” setting, that helps a lot. but the way they light up is by getting hit with power, so crank as much power as you can through them
Nevermind i got it …
Nevermind i got it lol but how can i make them so tey light up when i dont turn the music up sp loud i want them to light up at like medium volume
Dude if you could …
Dude if you could make a video on this instead of a diagram that would be the coolest thing ever I’ve Reyes and tryed to get my lights to work but what I really need is a video on how to set up the lights just like this diagram and what kind if wire should I buy to hook up the LEDs just regular speaker wire
nope!
they are …
they are LED’s, which means that they don’t require much power to light up. And with my head unit and most aftermarket head units producing 50 watts per channel, the LED’s will not blow. Each speaker/LED combination receiving 50 watts max means that the speaker will not produce distortion and the LED’s will shine nice and bright! The average watts each speaker/LED combo receives is 20 watts, which is enough to light the LED and sound the speaker!
nope!
you dont have to …
you dont have to have them connected to an alternative power source to make them light? like another battery or something? sry dont know much about all this stuff.
what? I don’t …
what? I don’t really understand what you said here lol. But I’m guessing you meant just crimp the wires together parallel. (+) to (+) and (-) to (-)
so u can hook up …
so u can hook up all the wires together with each then they will light up
im not quite sure …
if you have another question or are looking for a better answer, feel free to ask, i dont mind, i promise!
im not quite sure what you mean…but these are just speakers, not subs, so they are NOT getting very much power…if you want to do this to Dual SUBS, i personally would wire the LED’s up to the rear speakers so I wouldnt blow or interfere with the subs… but that is just me. then for cop control, you can turn the volume down and the subs may still pound, but the lights would stop!
You did do this …
You did do this with the back of the subwoofer box right, cuz i dont wanna break or blow anything out
